Elizabeth L. Hurwitz

Elizabeth Hurwitz joined the firm in April 2015, as a litigation associate.  Prior to this, she worked as an attorney for the San Francisco Housing Authority prosecuting unlawful detainer (eviction) actions on behalf of the agency.

Since joining the firm, she has expanded all her areas of litigation practice to include the following:

  • Assisting in the prosecution of appeals.
  • Unlawful detainer matters.
  • Partition actions.
  • Quiet title actions.
  • Arbitrations, mediations, and appellate work.

Ms. Hurwitz recently settled a major habitability and wrongful eviction case for a landlord client for less than 20% of the tenant’s original settlement demand.

She is a graduate of the University of San Francisco, School of Law.  Class of 2011.  While at USF, she published an article in the USF Law Review (46 U.S.F. L. Rev. 249), served as a technical editor of the Maritime Law Journal and as a staff writer and copy editor of the USF student newspaper, The Forum.  Ms. Hurwitz was awarded a Certificate in Business Law and was awarded the ABA-BNA Award for Excellence in the Study of Labor and Employment Law.
